What is SUMMA Genome?

SUMMA is a latin word which means Extreme. SUMMA Genome is a database of all extremophile genomic data and research articles available to date. Information about extremophiles is dispersed and has not been properly compiled for analysis and hypothesis interpretation.

Extremophiles here include Bacteria, Archaea, Fungi, Algae, Lichens and Protozoa.

Database

SUMMA Genome database contains genomics and metagenomic data of extremophiles. Additionally, you will find research articles related to extremophile studies.

EXtremophiles

Extremophiles include all organisms that thrive under conditions considered extreme. We are working towards understanding more about these organisms.

Team

We are a team of researchers from multiple fields of science coming from microbiologist to computational biologist.

SUMMA Genome is part of the Mason Lab at Weill Cornell Medicine
